Default Call SDK's refresh(); to download changed files to app cache programmatically

I am using Sencha Touch 2's methodology for storing files in the app cache for offline use--works fine. However, I have a use case where I would need to call refresh() in the SDK's production.js file (which normally is minified on a sencha production build and insterted into index.html) via my code at times. Is there an easy way to do this?

You shouldn't need to do this yourself. The browser should check if there is a change to any file in the cache.manifest when you go to the app with the browser every time.
