Looks like we can't reproduce the issue or there's a problem in the test case provided.
ComboBox.listConfig.loadingText text is not working from Ext4.1
Ext version tested:
Browser versions tested against:
DOCTYPE tested against:
All my remote combos have two parameters in listConfig object: loadingText anf emptyText. After a click on the combo trigger I can't see the loadingText value. Instead of this I see emptyText value only. Once data is loaded, the emptyText value disappears and combo list is correctly expanded.
When I don't define the emptyText value, just 2px line is shown. The same situation happens: once data is loaded, the 2px line disappears and combo list is correctly expanded.
I've tried examples published under Extjs 4.0 and ExtJS 4.1 and I detected the same problem.
(working, loading message is visible)
(not working, loading message is missing)
Steps to reproduce the problem:
- see the official examples from the description part
The result that was expected:
- loadingText is shown until data are not loaded from server
The result that occurs instead:
- emptyText shown instead, when defined
- 2px line is shown, when emptyText not defined
Thanks for a patch!
We have this corrected for the 4.1.1 release, it should be out shortly.

I like such answers! Thanks!
I can confirm that this bug is not fixed in 4.1.1. At least not when loading a store dynamically.
I am facing the same problem.Any fix for this issue...
this topic is marked as "can't reproduce", but i can reproduce the problem just by going to the 2 links posted in the first post.
The only difficulty is that first link is somewhat broken: the text is right but the underneath URL is wrong.
By going to the right url you can see that "loadingText" is actually ignored only for 4.1 and not for 4.0
Having this problem as well. Can we please get this reopened? The links provided clearly indicate the problem exists. (The first link is displaying correctly, but the link itself is wrong It should be http://dev.sencha.com/deploy/ext-4.0...um-search.html).
