Default Grid with parent / child drill dowm - Problem

I am having some difficulty with a relationship of the child to keep the relationship of the child with the parent grid.
How do I maintain the relationship of the child to the parent?

This tool EXTJS is a great foundation for building applications, but it is missing-gird-within-grid relationship.

I have attemped to build a simple gird-within-grid, but I am having major challenges. Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

The idea came from http://extjs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=21017 and all the credit goes to CutterBl

Thank you in advance for your help.

Maybe you want something like this: http://extjs.com/deploy/dev/examples...lumn-tree.html

    Thanks Animal,

I have looked at the tree column and it does not provide for column sorting and resizing. Do you know how to achieve this? Am I missing something?

    Thank you for your time.

I've never used it, but AFAIK, it's just a tree, and can be manipulated by a http://extjs.com/deploy/dev/docs/?cl...ree.TreeSorter

Again, thanks for trying to help but TreeSorter will not do.

I am trying to create a "GridTree / TreeGrid". I have data structured with ParentID and ChildID nested levels; one-two-many relationship.

I want the powerful functionality of a "Grid" and be able to present data in tree-structured - nested grids. I am still looking for a solution, I have made two-steps forward and two-steps backwards.

    I appreciate your time.
    Thanks.

I think this might call for a custom solution on your part.

Some kind of Store extension which uses one Field in its Record as a special child link to another Store which loads child nodes on demand.
