NumericAxis max min
I noticed that the NumericAxis getMaximum() and getMinimum() values return NaNs unless I explicitly set them by hand via setMaximum() setMinimum(). Is there any way to get the internally calculated max and min values when I let it autoscale? I am using NumericAxis for both the x and y-axes for a scatter plot. Also when setting the min max via setMaximum() setMinimum(), it seems like sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't: sometimes the max min will be correctly reset, and at other times the scaling will not change depending on the numbers chosen. It seems like it is having a difficult time deciding on the number of steps and the tick spacing. Also it seems the algorithm sometimes returns strange spacings such as multiples of 3 or some decimal. Ideally the steps should always be a multiple of 1,2,5,10, etc and also going the other way, 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, etc...

To get the calculated start and end values you can use getFrom() and getTo(). As to your second comment in 3.0.1 if you do not like the default intervals there will be an interval option on NumericAxis.
Great, thank you Brendan, very helpful.
