Include the files as described in the getting started tutorial. And check that they are being included by using Firebug.

You are probably including /source/adapter/ext-base.js instead of /adapter/ext/ext-base.js.

Yes, I'm using /source/adapter/ext-base.js. I have changed it baut but the problem is the same .

You have not included the files from the correct locations!

    Just look in Firebug.

triple check your urls, if still having problems post screenshots from firebug showing the http:// address and the net tab showing what js files are being requested and attached. Anything in red wasn't found.

you could try include ext-base.js then ext-all.js file!
    In rails like this :
    <%= javascript_include_tag "ext/adapter/ext/ext-base.js","ext/ext-all.js"

Default The order in which the extjs files are included is very important

Make sure adapter/ext/ext-base.js is the 1st include file
