So you want the logo to overlay the content on the carousel? Sort of like a watermark or something? You may be able to disable it or change the z-index. I think if the logo is above (higher z-index) the carousel then the carousel probably won't respond to the DOM swipe events in the area of the logo, because the carousel is below the logo (lower z-index).
This is a longshot, but you can try listening for the DOM swipe event on the logo. When that event fires, stop the event, and you could try switching the target element from the logo to the carousel then continue the event.
