Default Extending from custom view class stalls the sencha build 'create jsb' task

    "Ext.define('apam.view.AssignmentNavigation', { extend: 'apam.view.DefaultItemNavigation',
    ...."
    Above fails

but following works (i.e. sencha create jsb.... task completes successfully)
    "Ext.define('apam.view.AssignmentNavigation', { extend: 'Ext.navigation.View',
    ...."

    The DefaultItemNavigation is in app.js
    "Ext.define('apam.view.DefaultItemNavigation', { extend: 'Ext.navigation.View',
    ...."

    Any clues...

Why isn't this in it's own file?

It is in its own file. I mean the view is declared in app.js
    ..........
    views: [ .....
    'DefaultItemNavigation',
    ....................
