    Default Answered: Showing a Ext.Msg.alert beforerender

    I am trying to show an error in the beforerender event of a panel. When I call
    Code:
    Ext.Msg.alert()
    in the beforerender event the rendering of the alert fails. If I wrap the message in a timeout the rendering work.

    How do I show an error beforerender without using setTimeout?

    http://screencast.com/t/gwLdiFPsWbo - screencast of Ext.window.Window working, but Ext.Msg.alert failing

    Thanks!

  2. Alert is halting .. you should use a notification window instead.

    Thanks for the explanation. Is there a specific notification window that I missed in the docs or are you talking about Ext.window.Window?
