Thread: [4.1.2] Unable to sort tree node in an un-rendered tree

    Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for EXTJS-7248 in a recent build.

    Default [4.1.2] Unable to sort tree node in an un-rendered tree

    "ext-all-debug.js:96394TypeError: 'undefined' is not an object (evaluating 'me.el.child')"

    Ext.onReady(function() {
            var store = Ext.create('', {
                root: {
                    expanded: true,
                    children: [
                        { text: "detention", leaf: true },
                        { text: "homework", expanded: true, children: [
                            { text: "book report", leaf: true },
                            { text: "alegrbra", leaf: true}
                        ] },
                        { text: "buy lottery tickets", leaf: true }
            var tree = Ext.create('Ext.tree.Panel', {
                title: 'Simple Tree',
                width: 200,

            tree.getRootNode().sort(function(n1, n2) {

    This has been fixed for 4.1.3
