Default HTML Editor in Touch 2?

    Hi,
I was wondering how to use the HTML Editor from Ext JS 4 in Sencha Touch 2, or if there is any way to use a non-plain-text editor.

There is no html editor as it would be a pain to use on a mobile device IMO

It would be VERY useful and very handy on a tablet if I could simply B / U / I certain words in a textarea (as well as make headers).

Totally agree with you ! I'd like to know whether a basic wysiwyg editor is in the planning.

I think you can take the basic functionality of TinyMCE and get it to work since it is mostly JS. That may take some effort, though.

My approach would be to open a floating menu of editor options when a textfield receives focus. Then I could automagically manipulate the text based on what option is pressed. When the textfield loses focus, the menu would hide.

I think it would be better for a browser to handle such a feature when the user selects a chunk of text - it would just be another option like Copy and Paste, only B, I, U, etc.
