Unanswered: Ext.List and MySQL
I am developing a app that retrieves a list of Airports from a remote MySQL database and list them in a Ext.List When the user taps the disclose button it will reveal more information about the airport.
My initial setup was just to retrieve the whole database into a store but the problem is that the database size is 6.6MB and this is a problem bandwidth and time wise. I thought that I could retrieve only the id and airport name for the list and then tapping on the disclose button will initiate a new store and retrieval for the MySQL database based on the id of the airport.
- Is this possible?
- Is there an example that I can follow to see how this is done?

Is the list data 6.6MB or the details of the record you tap on 6.6MB?Mitchell Simoens @LikelyMitch

When I create the list, I basically download all the information connected with each airport so when the list initialize the download is 6.6MB.
Thanks for the reply.

I would advise using the pageSize parameter on initializing the list. This will require server side implementation to add an appropriate LIMIT clause the the MySQL query.
