I was working with a view and doing css work and things were looking great. Then after a compile all of a sudden the only thing I see in this particular view is just gray default background.
I have tried rebuilding again and again. I have tried to remove all of the template code in the view class as well as all the css work that I had done for the day in an effort to return to previous state. I also replaced the contents of the view class with a simple container that says 'text text text' in an html config and the view still only displays a gray background.
It's hard to tell, but you can check if there are any JS errors in the compiled version, e.g. maybe some dependency is not loaded properly. You can try running a web server in the directory with the compiled app (e.g. by running python -mSimpleHTTPServer), open it in browser and check for any JS errors.
Thx warrean. That was precisely the issue. I had set the layout on an inner container to be 'vbox' as well as the containing 'container.' When I compared this to my other way it was causing the height of the container box/div to be not set and thus only the gray area was showing. Once I removed both layout blocks, things returned to defaults and everything was showing again.
