    Default Sencha generate store is missing ...

    Hi all,

    the option to automatically generate a store using the sencha cmd has been deliberately removed?

    I was trying to add a store to my app but using : "sencha generate store ..." failed and checking the help I'll get :

    PS D:\Projects\ReadingWorkspaceUXPrototype> sencha help generate
    Sencha Cmd v3.0.0.250
    sencha generate

    This category contains code generators used to generate applications as well
    as add new classes to the application.

    Commands
    * app - Generates a starter application
    * controller - Generates a Controller for the current application
    * form - Generates a Form for the current application (Touch Specific)
    * model - Generates a Model for the current application
    * profile - Generates a Profile for the current application (Touch Specific)
    * theme - Generates a theme page for slice operations (ExtJS Specific)
    * view - Generates a View for the current application (ExtJS Specific
    * workspace - Initializes a multi-app workspace

    so effectively the option to generate a store is nomore .

    Why that?

    Thanks a lot

    Ben

    SDKTOOLS-137 (an internally opened ticket) is still open.

    Default What is the status of Generate Store?

    Hi,
    There's no Generate Store in CMD 4 either?
    If I add it manually to my project do I have to update the codegen.json file myself?

    Another questions that got no answers. How are we supposed to add a store with Sencha Cmd?

    1. Please stop trolling.
    2. I answered saying there is a bug open for this which for this is an answer.

    I'm not trolling, I'm trying to get my job done with a toolset we PAID for but with tools that were and are still broken from Sencha Cmd 3.1 forward. A toolset that requires we do things one specific way or they just don't work, and a vendor that doesn't address breakage in a timely manner and doesn't document how we work around the fact that they left something out of the tool. That is NOT an answer to this problem, that is merely an admission of guilt.

    I met lots of people @ senchacon that said the same thing, that releases are buggy, documentation is spotty, and support can be difficult.

    I am currently one of your paying customers, but I will probably NOT renew because of these continuing problems. Generate store has been missing since at least 29 Mar 2013, that is ALMOST ONE SOLID YEAR.

    You still have not answered how we are supposed to work around this year long problem created by your staff.

    I built my first app by hand because sencha cmd didn't do these kinds of things. Because there was too little documentation I "did it wrong" although I still don't understand why what I did is wrong, but sometimes it loads, sometimes it doesn't under firefox unless all the source is concatenated. So this time I try to rebuild that app using your tool, only to find out it DOES NOT WORK. Your solution for this kind of problem is to not answer the question (again) and vote the post down. Keep doing that, lets see how it works out for your company. You've already convinced me I don't want to enlarge my business with sencha.

    Why do you need to post the same thing multiple times? In this post, I posted the feature request issue which is an answer to this post. What you are upset about (understandably so) is something different than your couple posts saying that answers were not provided.

    An option open to you, since you are a paying customer, is you can open a ticket in the support portal mentioning the above issue number and we can then handle that and escalate it.
