Default Answered: Change panel region on the fly

Similar to how Outlook allows you to tell it where you would like your preview pane ... right, left, top, bottom ... I would like to change a preview pane in a viewport. Currently I have a grid in the north and preview pane in the center. I'd like to allow the option with a menu button to change the grid's region to west or east.

Is this possible? Do I need to think about this by way of removing the grid and then adding it back where I want it? I haven't done that yet either!

  2. Check out this example it does what you're asking about.

Up top is a "preview panel" cycle button that does the re-docking like you're asking about.
