Thread: Can not create custom property 'Layout' as object for radiogroup

    Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for DSGNR-3554 in a recent build.

    Default Can not create custom property 'Layout' as object for radiogroup

    Architect Build tested:
    • Build: 894
    Project Type:
    • ExtJS 4.1
    Description:
    • On a xType radiogroup, I was trying to add a custom property for layout to set the type and align using an object, but the designer forces a string for only the type. Therefore, I can not set any other configuration for the layout other than the type
    Steps to reproduce the problem:
    • Create a form panel with a radio group and multiple radio buttons
    • click on the radio group in the designer and create a new property for 'layout'
    • Set the property to be of type 'object'
    • Attempt to create a config object
    The result that was expected:
    • able to configure the property as | layout : { type: 'vbox', align: 'left' }
    The result that occurs instead:
    • Object value was treated as a string literal for the type config only
    • layout : {type: '{ type: \'vbox\', align: \'left\' }'}
    Operating System:
    • Win 8

    This is indeed a bug; we should be exposing the layout for checkboxgroup and radiogroup. It will be done via the normal layout config mechanism, however, and not via a custom object config like you were hacking it to do before.
