A LazyCarousel component in 80 lines of code
I blogged about how we built a LazyCarousel on top of the existing carousel.
You can easily built infinite carousels on top of it. Here is one example with a truly infinite calendar carousel (also linked from the posting)

Thanks cburgdorf !!
I was looking for something like this for an educational purpose (loading svg in a carousel)
One thing though : ain't bottom dots useless then ? Would it be possible to still have the corresponding dots (saying 6 or 7) but not loading them ?

Yes, they are absolutely useless and I basically just left them in for the demo to show that there are really only three items at any time. But you can easily set the indicator to false.
I'm not sure if you can trick the indicator to show a different number. Probably yes.
