Animation runs great at first but then stutters and overlaps
Running into an odd problem. We've exported an animation that occasionally stutters and stops and then starts again. Unfortunately we can't seem to pinpoint it to a specific frame, we're guessing it's processor dependent or similar. <br><br>You can see the live animation here at "<a data-cke-saved-href="http://www.adclub.org" href="http://www.adclub.org">adclub.org</a>", at the top of the page. If you watch it through to the end where it resents to the first frame you'll see sometimes it stops abruptly to go back to the "100 Celebrating 100 Years of Building Brands in Boston". Sometimes the frames will overlap each other (we're using transparent PNGs) as shown in the screenshot below.<br><br>Thank you in advance.<br><br><img src="http://www.sencha.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=42845&stc=1" attachmentid="42845" alt="" id="vbattach_42845" class="previewthumb"><br><br><br><br>
Hi mjolnier and welcome to the forums,
In order to test the animation, I extracted it from your webpage and run it in a browser (Chrome and Safari) for 30 minutes. I haven't noticed any glitching, however I did see that when I open your webpage, glitching in the animation is noticeable. I am suspecting that this probably has to do with the load of your webpage - there seems to be a lot of scripts running in the background, and some are also reporting errors, all of which eat up processor time. I would suggest looking into optimizing your webpage and this should remedy any glitching that is present in the animation, as well as speed up the load time.
I would also suggest to include the animation in an iframe rather than embedding it directly in the page as you did now. Since you have many scripts running simultaneously on the page, the possibility of having a namespace conflict somewhere is higher. By keeping the animation inside an iframe you would avoid this.
