Default Sencha compile without HTML page

We are trying to integrate the Sencha compile command into our grails-based build process. However one of the pain points for us in the HTML page (gsp, html, jsp, etc..) required for each application. As I understand it this file is needed to be able to identify a base set for the dependency graph. We have a GSP template file that represents the page of our page but unfortunately it doesn't include normal <script> tags. Instead we are using a tag library that references a set javascript files listed in another file. This makes our build nice in that we only need to edit one file when we add a new javascript file. The grails-based setup provides several things that the Sencha command does not such as versioning ( changing the javascript filename for each version of the application to bust any caches), and gzip the output. At the end of the day however, the template dosen't have any <script> tags for the Sencha compile command to process.

Is there a way to provide the list of javascript files to the Sencha compile command without providing an HTML page? Something like on the command line -javascript = file1,file2,file3,file4, etc? My work around for this problem is to generate an HTML page just for the Sencha command to use during the build process and then throw it away. This approach seems to be a cumbersome and inefficient way to simply provide a list of javascript files to the compile command.

    Thanks for your time,
    Scott Phillips

    Default

Are you just using 'sencha app build' or the 'sencha compile' command?
