Taking Sencha to the top of the iTunes Sports Charts!
Been laying low for a while working hard on some projects with Footballguys.com , a leading fantasy football site.
Delighted to say we've topped out the sports charts in both iPad and iPhone with our two apps to date. Our iPad magazine app is currently in the top 100 overall for iPad - it peaked out yesterday at around 60 but we still have our main August window to go.
These apps were a delight to code in Sencha Touch. Now to get them on Android in the next couple of weeks!
Check out the rankings here:

Great looking app :)
Hey gz with the app cool to reach that far.
What version of sencha did you use? And did you use the native packager that comes with sencha, or did you use others like phonegap?
What are your experience with the performance when packaged vs browser.
Why I'm asking is because that we're in the process of soon releasing an app in the App Store, but facing som problems with performance instantly when its pacaked in phonegap. Not like the "it's web ui so ofc it's slower" but more a "show page freeze 2 secs".
Again gratz with topping the charts.

I used phonegap as the native wrapper. I just have more trust in phonegap right now than Sencha's packaging - more plugins and faster fixes. I got for instance appirater in my next version without much hassle.
Performance: I am very content overall with the app's performance. These are the two main issues that I would like to sort in the future:
- the performance of forms in Sencha Touch is quite poor. They seem to be very memory intensive in the DOM
- the native list scrolling issue (http://www.sencha.com/forum/showthre...Freezing/page3) meant I had to switch to dataviews and limit them to 80 or so rows on the phone.
Any other performance stuff is almost certainly down to your code. Drop me a PM/email, maybe I can offer a few pointers.
