Default Answered: Crash on packaging from Mac

I was able to package my project in Windows fine and working great.

However, when I try to package same project on my Mac air, I get following error message.

    ionpackage(17622,0xad0c92c0) malloc: *** mmap(size=16777216) failed (error code=12)
    *** error: can't allocate region
*** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
terminate called throwing an exceptionAbort trap: 6
I asked this issue at the SenchaCon13, they discovered that ionpackage process exceed over 2 GB of memory. But, on my Windows machine it hardly use 100 mb on ionpackage process.

Also, based on packaging tool from example, I have to package my project and then run ionpackage.

My confusion is that why same project can package fine on my Windows machine but not on my Mac. Also, what if my project can't be packaged due to complex structured?

If someone can help would be appreciated.

  2. This seems like a bug in the packaging tool. Is there any setup that we can reproduce?
