Thread: What is the best practice to get two form elements side by side?

Default What is the best practice to get two form elements side by side?

Right now, the default behavior in a FormPanel seems to be to have each form element in a block display div. But I want to have two form elements side by side on the same line. So for example, a radio button right next to a text field (as though they were inline elements).

My question is, what is the best way to do this? I am new to the ext js framework. The only thing I can think of right now is to nest a TableLayout within the FormPanel, but this seems somewhat hackish (using tables for layout of non-tabular data).

    Thanks!

The best way to do this is by nesting a column layout in the form. This can hold each field you have in it's own column, and is a lot nicer way of doing it then some others. That's what's used on the example pages in the docs.
