Thread: Editing Plugin should have a config that disables edit on click

Looks like we can't reproduce the issue or there's a problem in the test case provided.

Default Editing Plugin should have a config that disables edit on click

    Hi,

I have a Tree Panel implementation. On double clicking the values, an editor opens just next to the value for renaming. I have a requirement to remove the editor. How can I remove the editor on double click or, in other words, nothing happens when the value is double-clicked in the Tree Panel?

    Thanks,

your tree cells are editable because they are configured with a Cell Editing plugin http://localhost/ext-4.2.1/docs/#!/a...in.CellEditing

remove the editing plugin from your tree's config to disable editing.

Question Disable Double click on value in Tree Panel

In our application we are editing the cell using "RENAME button" and we only need to disable the editing using "Double Click".

Is there any way to disable this "edit on double-click" feature?

Unfortunately the framework doesn't explicitly support the use case you are providing, however, there is a way you can make it work:

    1. set a flag in your button handler.
    2. listen to the beforeedit event on the CellEditing plugin. in the handler return false if the flag is not set, otherwise reset the flag.

I think there should be a config for this use case, so I've opened a ticket in our bug tracker.

Hi, I need same functionality in my project. How are you triggering edit on rename button?

Done with editing on button click just need to call startEdit.
