    Default Minimum and Maximum property of Date Axes

    We need the X axes to start from 01-Jan 2013 and end at 1-jul 2013.
    And as I understand using fromDate , toDate or Minimum and Maximum should solve the issue. But the same does not seem to happen.
    Find code below. (title alone is reflected from below code)

    panel.axes.items[i].fromDate = new Date('01-jan-2013');
    panel.axes.items[i].toDate = new Date(data.availableEndDay);
    panel.axes.items[i].minimum = new Date('01-jan-2013');
    panel.axes.items[i].maximum = new Date(data.availableEndDay);
    panel.axes.items[i].title='From '+start+' to '+end;}

    What kind of Axis are you using? You should use a time if you need to set fromDate, toDate, min and max values: http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/4.2.1/#...me-cfg-minimum
    Before pasting your code, see if you can make a working example using Sencha Fiddle: https://fiddle.sencha.com/

    Not only will it let everyone see what you're talking about with their own eyes, but it also makes debugging your issue 19 billion times easier

    Embedding your newly created Fiddle is super-easy: Using Sencha Fiddle in the Forums

    Default

    It is a time series
    axes: [
    {type: 'Time',
    position: 'bottom',
    fields: ['datetime'],
    // title: 'Date',
    dateFormat: 'j-M-Y',
    step: [Ext.Date.MONTH, 1],
    grid: true }
    ]

    it works now after
    chart.axes.items[1].forceMinMax = true;

    But using chart.axes.items[1].constrain= true; makes the line disappear and without constrain, it extends beyond the y axes1.jpg
