    What do you mean by "window"? A pop-up window native to the browser, or an instance of Ext.window.Window?

    If the latter, are you wanting to create an instance on the fly, or render an instance from some defined config?

    If you want to handle this in the controller, you could add a listener to your button's click event in the control() section:

    Code:
    'button#someButtonItemId': {
        click: this.showPopUp
    }
    ...
    showPopUp: function( btn, e, opts ) {
        window.open( ... )
    }
    Otherwise, you could simply add the popup script to your button's handler.
