Thread: [4.2.1] Narrow tooltips in Safari Mac

Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for EXTJS-12511 in 5.0.1.

This was fixed in 4.2.2.

If you use " " instead of space between words, your tooltip will work in 4.2.1.

Default Not fixed in 4.2.2

The bug was not fixed in 4.2.2.
If you open the kitchen sink app from the 4.2.2 documentation, click the Login Form example, type any username, click and set focus on the password field, without typing anything there and set focus on the username field again, the validation message will appear and it's still a very narrow tooltip.

I don't see this issue using 4.2.2 on a Mac. I tried Chrome and Firefox.

The validation message is wide enough in my testing.

You are right. It's broken using Safari Version 7.0.2 (9537.74.9).

It works fine using the latest Chrome and Firefox.

Default Only Safari in Mac doesn't work

Just like the original thread title said, this bug is for Safari in Mac. Please fix the bug.

Chrome and Firefox in Mac do work fine but most of our Mac users use Safari browser so this bug is very annoyed to them.

Support team, can we open this ticket since it is not fixed in the 4.2.3 nightly build?

Is there a work around for 4.2.2?

Try using instead of spaces between words of the tooltip.
