    Yes, but only if your browser supports it.

    I would recommend using UTF-8 instead, because all A-grade browsers will support that.

    Solution 17 (Horizontal Scrolling)

    Does not work at all.

    seems that the "remove" statement is not valid in some versions of javascript.

    It should be 'delete' (already corrected).

    Default Select text in grid to copy to clipboard

    I compiled a list of solutions to how to select text in the grid (with the mouse) so that it can be copied to the clipboard. Haven't personally tested any of them. Seems to me that text selection is a basic feature and the grid should have an option for its data to be selectable.

    No mention of WriteStore?

    I think information on posting data back to the server from a grid is particularly sparse.

    I found an extension written by deitch called Ext.ux.WriteStore which does for writing-to-the-server what Ext.data.Store does for reading-from-the-server. So far it's working like a charm for me.

    Hi Chris,

    Thank you so much for putting it here.

    I had the same problem everyone here had, so I wrote the extension. Eventually, with other libraries, I just put the whole thing on its own site with its wiki. Check it out at jsorm.com.

    Feedback is always appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Avi

    Default 28. Disable editing of particular rows

    28. Disable editing of particular rows
    I think that Option 1 is wrong (outdated?) as it attempts to put isCellEditable in the grid, rather than the ColumnModel.

    Hi mjlecomte,

    First of all, thank you for all your great work.
    I had a problem I can't resolve with the displayField of a combobox in a GridEditorPanel until I read this post from nkohari : http://extjs.com/forum/showthread.php?p=165242

    Just in case you think it could be a new entry for this already excellent FAQ.

    Hi,
    for the 11th item (updating a cell)

    the code is somehow not right.

    it should be , thanks for this excellent work

    PHP Code:
    grid.on("mouseover", function(et) {
        var
    row;
        if((
    row this.getView().findRowIndex(t)) !== false){ //getView is added

    var record this.store.getAt(row);
            var
    id record.get('Id');
        }
    },
    grid);
    There is no such thing as a stupid question. Only stupid people do not ask questions
