    Default Panel in Tooltip

i show tooltip on grid cells. Thats working fine in my renderer function:

    PHP Code:
    metadata.attr 'ext:qtip="this is my tooltip" ext:qtitle="Tooltip Title"'
But what i actually need is a Extjs panel in my tooltip for a proper representation of the data I want to show in the tooltip.

How Can I place an Extjs panel or other components in this tooltip?

While tooltips don't commonly serve as containers for other ExtJS components they do extend container. You might try adding a panel as a child item in the tooltip's items of a tooltip instance - versus using the ext:qtip quicktip syntax as an attribute on the cell's td.

You might consider showing a floating panel or a menu-wrapped panel over the cell instead as that should give you the flexibility you're wanting. It will, however, come with the cost of having to dynamically show/hide the panel yourself whereas the tooltips show/hide functionality is built into the class.
