Unanswered: Layout Guidance for Sizing Containers to Contents
I am struggling to get a handle on how to approach layouts that are constrained to the size of the contents. I'm really looking for pointers, perhaps to tutorials or documentation. Here's my sample screen that I'm attempting to implement: PersonDetails.jpg
I've tried setting the LayoutData for the horizontal and vertical children to height/width of -1, but this doesn't seem to have any effect. As I said, I'm just looking for some guidance here ... are HorizontalLayoutContainer and VerticalLayoutContainer the best choices? Or would it be better to use the Box containers? Or ContentPanel? I just want all of the containers to expand to the size of their contents, except for the last horizontal container (5), which should fill whatever space is remaining. It feels as though if I can get this layout working then it will cover most of my layout issues (and I'll write a blog post when it's done!).
