    Exclamation Unanswered: iOS8 - minimal-ui / fullscreen

    Hello,
is there any way to get the fullscreen mode on ios8?

I'm just testing the same code tested on ios7 with minimal-ui but as I read the ios8 doesn't support minimal-ui parameter.

No solution even with sencha touch 2.4.1

The minimal-ui viewport property is no longer supported in iOS 8.
    See https://developer.apple.com/library/...RN-iOSSDK-8.0/

But you could have a look at https://github.com/gajus/scream to achieve something similar

I was just wondering if anyone has tried this and got it to work?

Obviously for HTML5 web apps to rival native apps they need to be able to occupy the full screen real estate, which currently doesn't happen with Sencha Touch in ios8.

I spent a lot of time getting things working in ios7 (implementing the the minimal-ui parameter) and am frustrated that I have to start over again for ios8. Anyone would think that Apple are somehow trying to make web apps look worse than those that come via their app store. What possible reason could they have to do that?
