Thread: Combo box - Accessibility with Extjs 5

Default Combo box - Accessibility with Extjs 5

Using Extjs5, if we open the drop-down of the combo box, and move up and down to select any item in the combo box, then screen reader like Jaws should read the item on which the focus is. But currently JAWS reads only the first item in the combo box, no matter how many times we move up and down to select any other item in the combo box.

How can I solve this problem? Please help.

    Hi,

To make sure we're on the same page, what version of ExtJS 5.x are you working with?

    I have the same question.
When I access to the 5.0.1 examples page for accessibility, if read the page by Jaws, combox fields aren't recognized as combo box type when being focused, and it can't be operated by up/down arrow keys to select a list item.

    Hi dottree,

Please try your code against Ext JS 5.1.0 with ext-aria package.
