Default Answered: JetBrains plugin commercial distribution

Just curious how the plugin will be distributed once the beta is over and it is GA? I'm not talking about who is licensed to use it - I understand that. I want to know how it will get to those entitled to it.

One of my major annoyances with the old Eclipse plugin was that it was only included in the giant Sencha complete exe bundle. You would have no way of knowing whether it was updated without downloading this whole thing. Please don't follow this model for the new plugin!

  2. Nothing will change once the commercial version is available, you will still be able to download and update the plugin via the IDE. You'll also be able to get it from sencha.com and install it manually, but I imagine most users will find it more convenient to install it from the IDE.

    Default Activation Code needed

Now the commercial distribution is there - one is asked for the activation code. Where do I get it ?

As I understand as a user of SenchaComplete I'm allowed to use the plugin ....

Activation code from Sencha Complete is not accepted with "Invalid Authorization Code (401)"

All Sencha Complete customers are entitled to the JetBrains plugin, but it requires a separate activation code. You can get your activation code by emailing [email protected].

Just to clarify, when you opened the new version of the plugin, you should have been given a 30 day fully-functional trial before activating.

Did it grant you this trial period at all, or did it immediately prompt you for an activation code?

Trial period is finally granted. Activation is proposed in the popup.

    • Purchased Sencha Complete 1.x (Sencha Complete Premium Support )
    • Downloaded (from my support account) Sencha JetBrains Plugin 6.0.0 Jul 1st, 2015
    • Uninstalled EA plugin from WebStorm
Now I'm ready to install new plugin, but where can I found installation notes to complete Manual Install within WebStorm Structure?

    Many thanks,
    Alex/
