Default Answered: Default config is not set for classes extending component

I have a problem with classes that extend component but have their own config objects.
The config seems to not be set to its' default value.

Actually the "style" config in component1 (see the fiddle) doesn't seem to be set no matter what I do, not just the default value but just creating a new instance and setting a value to it doesn't work either.

Here is a fiddle to demonstrate:

(I can't seem to get how to embed the fiddle into this post sorry!)

style is already a config in component (without getter & setter).

I am embarrassed by the amount of time I spent on this. Thank you!
