    Hi Loaine,

I'm currently checking out your book on ExtJS 5. I was searching for any video training on ExtJS 5+ but couldn't find any... If you had to guess, what's the reason that there isn't ExtJS Video Training? Not just on your book but all ExtJS 5+ materials are book only. Just curious since I much prefer video training. Maybe Sencha doesn't allow it?

Sencha doesn't allow a lot of things. I wouldn't be surprised if people writing training resources had to have an OEM license! I know that I'm not allowed to write a web page or program that generates working Ext JS code without one (even though I wouldn't be distributing the framework itself in any way).

Easy to speculate it is. The actual fact of training is you don't need an OEM license, our license doesn't prohibit training. Our license does prohibit creating an app that generates Ext JS code. It's a matter of what is in the license and what isn't, the license is of course freely and openly available. A good place to look: https://www.sencha.com/legal/

I read that, and it does not cover all possible cases of code generation. For example, how about a .jsp that "generates" the javascript code to create the ui after a user logs into a site.

Oh sorry, guess I read too much into "I don't see code generation mentioned at all wrt license restrictions". I'm no lawyer or license expert (or close to it) so I cannot comment on the special meanings of the wordings.
