Default Sencha Touch 2.4 with Cmd server in Mac - Issues with getting started MyApp

Hi all, I'm new to Sencha and trying to learn it using the gettinr started guide provided under the url - http://docs.sencha.com/touch/2.4/get...g_started.html. I was able to successfully install everything and bring up examples applications window. I was also able to run generate app command which has created the app structure in the specified path.

    Now I have two issues
    1. I'm not able to go further than the examples listing page. Clicking on any url leads me to an error page. - HTTP ERROR 404

      Problem accessing /examples/kitchensink/index.html. Reason:

      Not Found
      Powered by Jetty://

    2. Also, i'm not able to get MyApp running using any urls. I have tried running the cmd server from SDK directory, my home directory and the actual app directory. Nothing worked. Same error as above.
What is missing here? I'm using Mac latest os and Sencha 2.4 with Sencha Cmd 6.0 2.14 osx. Its frustrating that the getting started itself is not working and I'm not really sure whether I'll be able to learn it.
