Thread: Pressing "enter" on a textarea saves form instead of newline with defaultButton

Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for EXTJS-19865 in 6.0.2.437.

Default Pressing "enter" on a textarea saves form instead of newline with defaultButton

    Ext version tested:

    • 6.0.1.250
    Browser versions tested against:
    • Chrome 46.0.2490.80 (64-bit)
    DOCTYPE tested against:
    • HTML5
    Description:
When a textarea is in focus, the "defaultButton" is triggered when the enter key is pressed. This prevents you from creating newlines in a textarea. The "defaultButton" should not be triggered if the field in focus is a textarea.

    Steps to reproduce the problem:
    • load fiddle
    • focus the textarea
    • press enter in textarea
    The result that was expected:
    • A new line is created in the textarea
    The result that occurs instead:
    • The default button is triggered (and a new line is created)
