    Default Grid group header disappears in very specific situation

    Ext version tested:

    • Ext 6.0.2 rev 437
    • Ext 5.0.1 rev 1255

    Browser versions tested against:

    • FF48.0.2 (firebug 2.0.17 installed)
    • Safari 9.1.2

    DOCTYPE tested against:

    • html

    Description:

    • grid with grouping feature
    • sorter only on the same column as the grouper
    • moving last record from one group to the next group (by changing the value of the grouping field)
    • BUG: the target's grouping header disappears
    • on Ext 5.x it's doing this even without any sorter defined
    • if the sorter doesn't exist (on Ext 6.x) or applied to multiple fields, it's fine
    • if moving other record other than the last one in the group it's fine
    • if moving record to another group other than the next one it's also fine;

    Steps to reproduce the problem:

    • Go to Fiddle #1g0k (embeded bellow)
    • click on Auto 2 row (changes type from auto (is last element of auto group) to manual (manual is the next group after auto)

    The result that was expected:

    • manual group header to remain visible

    The result that occurs instead:

    • manual group header dissappears

    extra info

    • you can change the target type (for row click event) from first combo on topbar
    • you can change the sorter option on grid store using the second combo on topbar
    • you can reset everything to default using the refresh tool on grid panel titlebar

    Nothing on this bug yet ?

    I'll prove it on the latest (ExtJS 6.2) Kitchen Sink demo too.

    Just go to the #grouped-grid demo and paste the following commands on the console:

    PHP Code:
    // get a reference of the grouping gridpanel
    grid KitchenSink.getApplication().getMainView().query('#content-panel')[0].down('grid')

    // expand all groups
    grid.getView().findFeature('grouping').expandAll()

    // remove 'Name' sorter (leave only by 'Cuisine' - grouping field)
    // this is important only on ExtJS 6.x
    // on ExtJS 5.x the bug is even if there is NO sorter on the grid store !!
    grid.store.sort({property:'cuisine'direction:'ASC'})

    // row index of first Asian cuisine record (the only one)
    asianIdx grid.getStore().find('cuisine''Asian')

    // scroll grid to view record after Asian cuisine
    grid.view.scrollRowIntoView(asianIdx 1)

    // move last record before first Asian cuisine group (University Cafe) to Asian cuisine group (change cuisine value)
    grid.store.getAt(asianIdx 1).set('cuisine''Asian'
    Where is 'Asian' grouping header row now ?
