    Hi

    Universal apps are not supported in SA.

    But the roadmap of ExtJS framework change little bit. Today we have 2 toolkits Modern and Classic. But in future these will be "merged" into 1. Modern 6.5 brings lot of classic components. There are still some missing ( filtering in the grid, color picker etc) but they should be there in future updates.

    Also there is 1 important thing. Classic toolkit still supports IE8 - this means that the framework has to be really heavy with all the extra code for these old browsers. Modern supports only the modern ones IE11+. This can result in some decrease of the size of the framework. https://docs.sencha.com/extjs/6.5.1/..._browsers.html

    Anyway you read more about the opinions in this thread:

    Cheers
    Petr

    @petr.vecera ,

    How should I build a "universal app" in SA 4.2? I see I could setup profiles for screensize... What is the best approach to use SA to build a single responsive app for mobile and desktop?

    The best approach is to use the Modern toolkit. You can use platformConfig

    http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/6.5.0/m...platformConfig

    https://github.com/petrvecera/ChessE...ameForm.js#L63

    Also check http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/6.5.0/m...sponsiveConfig

    Also you can create completely different views for Mobile, for example like this:
    https://github.com/petrvecera/ChessE...troller.js#L68

    Unfortunately there is currently no "native" support for platformConfig in SA. So just add this config as a custom config to any class you need.
    If you don't know about this, check this video https://youtu.be/2wTAdPaG2Xk?t=425
