Default Architect 4.1.2 long save times

I recently upgraded from Architect 3.5 and Ext 5.1 to Architect 4.1.2 and Ext 6.2. I enabled the build tools and now every time I save my Architect project, it takes about 5-6 minutes to save. (No joke 5-6 minutes). On the screen I see "Adding Ext framework to the project.." and that mask remains up for 5-6 minutes. The ext folder is there in my project folder and I can successfully run "sencha app build" from the command prompt. Why does it keep trying to add the Ext framework to the project every time I save?

    I'm on Windows 7.

    Thanks,
    John Bender

Something is probably incorrectly configured and it thinks that the framework is missing. Could you try to go to the project settings, disable build tools (this will remove the ext and Cmd from your project) save it, and than enable it again and save it ? This should initialize the Cmd and ext again.

This will remove some Cmd related files from your project ( like app.json) so if you did any changes do a backup first.

    I have the same problem.
1-2 minutes waiting when save the project with default settings.

Sorry that I did not pay attention to the version of the Architect listed in the post.
I have that in version 4.2.2 on Win 7 64x.

That looks ok, do you still have the problem ? Like you see "saving" dialog for 2 minutes right? We are unable to reproduce :|

How big is your project? I have project with over 1000 components and the save time of whole project is under 20s. When you do "normal" save, there is "lazy save" implemented, only files which were changed are going trough the save. (save has 2 parts, 1 is saving the metadata, 2 is generating the class code into the /app folder)

I guess you are not able to share your project with us. I think there could be some component which could cause some problems or something specific to your project.

Other thing could be your computer. Not sure if it would be easy for you to test this on other computer.

If you are using any antivirus I recommend putting the workspace with projects into "ignored' list because for example windows defender is really slowing down all the operations with the files.

I've confused you. This does not happen with default settings.
This only occurs when I specify the path to the framework:
