Thread: 6.5.0: font issue in Triton theme

    Success! Looks like we've fixed this one. According to our records the fix was applied for EXTJS-25202 in 6.5.1.

    Default 6.5.0: font issue in Triton theme

    Ext JS 6.5.0 does not load the OpenSans ttf files of the Triton theme. This forces browsers to use a fallback font (macOS: Helvetica Neue / Windows: Arial).

    Looks like the error is in classic/theme-triton/sass/src/Component.scss, that's where the Triton classic theme is supposed to load the Open Sans font. In 6.5.0 each font has an additional line src: local(" ");

    Ext JS 6.2.1:
    Code:
          @font-face {
              font-family: 'Open Sans';
              src: url('#{$triton-font-path}/OpenSans-Regular.ttf');
              font-weight: 400;
              font-style: normal;
          }
    Ext JS 6.5.0:
    Code:
          @font-face {
              font-family: 'Open Sans';
              src: url('#{$triton-font-path}/OpenSans-Regular.ttf');
              src: local(" ");
              font-weight: 400;
              font-style: normal;
          }

    If you remove the lines containing src: local(" "); then Components.scss becomes identical to the 6.2.1 version, and the font gets loaded normally.

    So the quick fix is to copy ext-6.2.1/classic/theme-triton/sass/src/Component.scss to ext-6.5.0/classic/theme-triton/sass/src.

    Hi,

    I'm still getting this error in IE with ExtJS 6.6.0.258 and Triton theme.
    CSS3114: @font-face failed OpenType embedding permission check. Permission must be Installable.

    Should it be fixed? Any other news on this?

    Mirko
