    Default treelist drag and drop.

    Hi,

We are using treelist to create a navigation panel in our web application in extjs 6.

We need to implement the drag and drop for the folders and files. After searching on internet, I found that there is a plugin for treepanel but not for treelist. Could anyone suggest a way to implement it.

    Hi,
You'll find some information on how to implement Drag here : http://docs.sencha.com/extjs/6.5.2/g...drag_drop.html

Unfortunately, found no sample for Drop on tree node items.

How would one declare DropTarget and listen to any 'drop' event ?

    Thanks

Have you thought about changing from treelist and use a treepanel instead,
Is there a compelling reason not to?

No. It was certainly on the road map. The concept of dragging data such as records and having the gestures know what to do with records is important. It was all working in classic. It needs fixing for 6.6

Needs a good sized team of highly experienced, knowledgable, motivated developers. Say seven people. That should really make 6.6 a success.

Do you have any insider info if anyone is actually working on 6.6 at this time?

I'm curious to know if all new development pretty much stopped and all we can expect from now on is just patch releases?

Read this comment in the blog:

"What is bad is that this framework has a lot going for it compared to angularjs and the roadmap to get into the npm ecosystem seemed very promising. Locking it down and charging high license fees (i.e. following the old enterprise model) is what killed the adoption of the framework. Selling to Idera was the last straw. The perception is that Idera is where old legacy technologies go to get milked for license fees. Rumors of key people leaving the company also doesn’t help. We are now having to scramble to get off the platform, as it was already difficult to find any developer interested in developing in Ext JS. Remaining on the platform would be like buying a blackberry at this point."
