Default IDERA Fix your sh$#ty forum

I am trying to post a message in general forums - I am getting "your post has to be approved" message and it never gets approved.
I am trying to post a message in Ext 6 Q&A and I am getting "your message can not contain urls" error even there are no urls in the message text.

I had “lo ve” (without space) in one of my posts and it completely blocked me posting it. Guess I can’t say I lo ve anything on this forum anymore. And once I correct it, I have to wait 60 seconds to post it again so I just sit here waiting...

FWIW, I’m sure this is due to so much spam. I had lots of keywords but didn’t add some popular words like “lo ve” for this very reason as it would hurt normal users more.

I am sure there are much better ways to get rid of spammers than blocking based on some common words.
As I see, one simple solution could be approval of posts made by new users.

    Seems like an obvious solution...

Except it’s not. It’s like if an app takes too long to start, users can get impatient and not use it. In fact, a coincidence last night I got an email from a user on this forum that got impatient and asked for help via email stating:

I'm registered on Sencha forums, but I cannot post anything so far, and it's a bit frustrating.
So if they can’t post on the forum, they have a problem they need help with right away and will now look for other avenues like emailing me for personal help. Also, I tweeted about the email and someon from Brytum replied saying they get the same, people asking for Ext JS help on their forum or emailing/skyping them.

Why not just shut down the forums and just use StackOverflow instead since they don’t have a spam problem or make people wait to post?

I'm calling a for a total and complete shutdown of Sencha Forums until we can know what the hell is going on.

IMO that’s a bit drama queenish and uncalled for.

So, we should report Ext JS bugs, feature requests, etc. on StackOverflow? A lot of the content posted in this forum would be inappropriate on StackOverflow.

Don’t be ridiculous, that’s just be one of the issues they’d have to figure out if they ever did close the forum. You know, the same thing they’d have to figure out if they closed it down to figure out what’s going on like you are calling dor.

If it takes more than 24 hours just to approve a customer's first post, there's a serious problem.

That's part of putting customers first so they don't go elsewhere.

Asking customers to check SO as well as these forums is not putting customers first, no matter how many already do or are willing to.

The SO ship sailed long ago with every other major framework on board.

Freezing these forums and telling people to post on SO instead would be like rowing your customers into the Atlantic on a raft to catch up with the SO liner.

Shutting down these forums would be like burning down their houses as they stepped off dry land.
