Default Answered: Prevent selection of certain cells when using Spreadsheet Model

In the below fiddle, I have a grid displaying three columns. I am using the Spreadsheet selModel to allow my user to select a cell and then drag it's contents down over other cells. I only want this functionality enabled on one column (the "Salary" column). How do I prevent the user from selecting either the "Name" or "Email" column?

  2. It cannot currently do this, but this would be a good Feature Request. I can see the utility.

Unfortunately, there's no way they can do this now.

Maybe this suggestion will get you started: https://fiddle.sencha.com/#fiddle/29f4&view/editor

Thanks, Animal. I'll see what sort of workaround I can come up with based on your suggestion.

    Cheers

Hey bwpsalan. Did you manage to find a workaround in the end?

As I know see it, I can only check if the user selected one column and if so check if the column is the required one.

    Thanks

    Hi ground_call,

Yes I found a workaround. I added an attribute called extensionAllowed to the columns that I want to be able to extend. I also added a listener to check the status of this attribute.

I have updated my fiddle with these changes.
