    Default HBox with text overflow

    For the life of me I can't figure out what should be so simple. So obviously I'm overthinking it. I want some variable length text with a button beside it within a container (which itself could vary in width). The button is optional so I can't just use a button with iconCls. The text could be short and then the button displays beside. If the text is long then it should ellipsis with the button showing.

    I've setup the following fiddle where you can just change the html property. It works when the text is short, but when changed to long it doesn't work. If I flex:1 the text then it properly ellipsis but short text the button isn't directly beside the text.

    You could dynamically set ellipsis on the text using:
