Default Will cmd/workspace/packages be supported going forward from 6.6?

Hi, I have multiple Ext 6.n apps, that build with Cmd 6.n, in a Sencha workspace, that rely on local Sencha packages that I created. Will this work flow be supported in the future using the npm stuff?

Having the same question. Can't remember that this was mentioned in the webcast recently.
As an app now has a package directory (which is really bad). I can't to find anything about workspace support.
Also missing some information about migrating 6.5.x packages to 6.6.
