    Using ExtJs 6.2

    trying this
    {entityName.uncapitalize}

    is undefined

    and this works:

    {entityName}

    It's feature or it's a bug?

  2. You where not very specific in your original post i thought you were talking about templates. So i was talking about a completely different thing.
    Sorry!.

    I think you just have a spelling mistake {entityName:uncapitalize} not {entityName.uncapitalize}

    Hi, it's not a feature nor a bug. Its just not valid code.

    That's not how you call functions in XTemplate, also if you call a function you should be sure that this function exists.

    Have a look https://docs.sencha.com/extjs/6.7.0/...XTemplate.html.

    uncapitalize is not a standard function on strings, and the framework function is under the Namespace Ext.String.

    Ok, but why is this so often used in samples?
    Even here in a book?
    Or here ?
