    Default Extjs Modern Grid Column Defaults?

    Hi,

    How can I set a "columns default" for the modern toolkit? I would like to set some "defaults" that are valid for all the columns.
    https://docs.sencha.com/extjs/6.6.0/...ml#cfg-columns

    I don't really understand the: "This can also be a configuration object for a {Ext.grid.header.Container HeaderContainer} which may override certain default configurations if necessary."

    For the classic I use something like this
    Code:
                columns: {
                    defaults: {
                        flex: 0.5,
                        renderer: myRenderFunction
                    },
                    items: [...]
                }
    but this doesn't work for modern.

    A code sample would be appreciated.

    According to this

    It appears to be a modern toolkit issue. Even the basic definition coming from the docs does not work as shown. If you follow the docs even further whereby defaults are defined it is using a "container" as documentation for setting gridcolumn defaults?

    You can give all default column settings inside headerContainer's defaults object like given in below fiddle -
