Exclamation [7.0 Classic] Froala Edidtor not implemented in Classic

So in a move to ignore pretty much all the Sencha MVP's who most agree Classic is the 'CURRENT' way forward for desktop apps, and modern for mobile only apps, you've forgotten to finish this release with a classic implmimentation for Froala?

I you don't do it we, as MVP's will need to start an extensions site so that developers can use the only Sencha framwork that is complete, Classic. Modern is far from feature parity to Classic, and is far from the first choice for deskop for any of us.

So I'm logging this as a bug, as it's not working in Classic, and should be.

Completely agree... been using ExtJS since 3.x and Modern just isn't there and we continue to build using Classic for Desktop and Modern only out of necessity for extremely light feature mobile apps. The direction this product has been going since 5.x is really starting to raise concern and for the first time in nearly a decade we are starting to evaluate other options as the confidence in Sencha and the support has gone downhill fast. The community/company support is weak compared to other offerings which is genuinely sad because Sencha has a lot to offer.

I love this product, but they need some pretty significant changes over there and they need more voices actively participating with the members who keep the product alive and continually suggesting improvements around real world use cases.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Sencha Support!

I have raised a bug for this under Jira EXTJS-28605 and sent over to Engineering for further analysis.

Thank you so much for your feedback on Froala! I'd like to see what we can do to offer that in classic.

I hear the modern pain points loud and clear too. What I can tell you now is, I feel the pain too and I'm going to push hard to make the classic and modern parity better. We also have some exciting R&D on features going on. I'm getting things queued and getting the engineering pipeline filled with the things devs want. I can see we have some climbing to do and will make sure it happens.

    Thanks,

How is it going on the Froala-Classic-front? I certainly aggree with @dawesi. Classic is essential and should not be neglected. Something as central as a WYSIWYG-editor is absolutely crucial for classic, too!

    Update...

If you have Ext JS enterprise edition, you get a Froala license. You can email Froala support to get it.

Here is an example of how you could use it with Ext JS 7 classic. https://fiddle.sencha.com/#view/editor&fiddle/30hl
