Question Numberfield Input as Currency While Typing

    Hello all,

I have found quite a few posts that refer to formatting an input field as currency but they all appear to be for older versions of Ext or even for other versions like touch. Is there a simpler way in 6.7+ to implement an input filed that would show currency (US) formatting as a user types in their number?

Does anyone have a good example they could share of how to add formatting using something like Ext.util.Format to a field? I tend to think that something like this should be a format config on these types of fields.

I specifically asked about numberField in the title but could probably switch to textField if needs be.

    Thanks.

Thanks much for the fiddle example. Seems like something that should be built into the field in ext but I appreciate your reply. We have a solution in the works when that gets completed I will share here as well.

The sencha override system makes it very easy for you to add functionality or fix a bug in an existing class. And you can also create your own extended class that has this functionality.
