    So getting an item of a combobox is not a problem so far, for example with this piece of code

    Code:
    ST.comboBox('locator')
        .expand();

    // Interact with the combobox's boundlist using the dataView API, locating a record by field name and value
    ST.dataView('boundlist:visible')
        .itemWith('fieldName', 'fieldValue');
    But is there a way to check if a combobox does not have an item with this specific value,
    for example testing whether the deletion of an entry was succesful or not?

  2. You can use the "timedout" API to assert that the previous method causes a timeout:

    Code:
    ST.comboBox('locator')
        .expand();

    ST.dataView('boundlist:visible')
        .itemWith('fieldName', 'fieldValue')
        .timedout();
    That way you will get a pass, because you're expecting the last action to fail.
