    Default Textarea editor in grid 'grow'

    Before upgrading our ExtJS application to 7.0.0, when we had a textarea editor set for inline editing of a Grid row, the editor would 'grow' to show multiple lines. However, after upgrading to 7.0.0, the textarea editor seems to be restricted to the height of the grid row, and therefore appears as a single line (however, multiple lines of text can be added).

    I have tried setting 'grow' to true, but with no success. I've add two screenshots showing what I mean.

    Does anyone have any suggestions on how to replicate the 6.x functionality in 7.0.0?

    Thanks!

    you'd probably have to hack the overflow css on the grid cells as with other versions in the past #sadly

    We didn't have to hack anything in the past, in previous versions of ExtJS, it just worked.

    Hi Chris,

    It is working for me in 7.0.0

    Code:
    },{
            dataIndex: 'combrules',
            text: 'Combination Rule',
            flex: 2,
            renderer: function(value, metaData, record, rowIndex, colIndex, store) {
                metaData.tdAttr = 'data-qtip="' + value + '"';
                return value;
            },
            editor: {
                xtype: 'textareafield',
                grow: true,
                   inputAttrTpl: 'autocomplete="off" autocorrect="off" autocapitalize="off" spellcheck="false"'
            }

    Thanks for the response. I have very similar code to you, but it still doesn't work. The texarea is multi-line, but it stays within the bounds of the grid row. Not sure what is different with your implementation:

    Code:
           {
            text:  'Desc.',
            dataIndex:	'description',
            flex:  2,
            tdCls:     'editable',
            renderer:	function(value, meta, record) {
             meta.tdAttr = 'data-qtip ="Double click to edit the description"';
             return value;
            },
            editor: {
                                        xtype:  'textareafield',
                                        grow:       true,
                                        allowBlank:	false
            }
           },
